Tax Assessor Joe Bissett presents the county rolls sent to the State Comptroller detailing rendered and unrendered properties. Totals show rendered residents at 3,149,586 and rendered non residents at 680,470 with unrendered 59,522, culminating in county valuations of 4,076,153 including banks.
Mrs H T Richardson died at the North Llano ranch home twelve miles from Junction on Saturday night and was buried in Junction cemetery the next day. Rev J J Ray conducted the service. Born in 1849 in Travis County she married H T Richardson in 1892. Survived by husband, stepchildren W R Richardson K D Richardson and Mrs Genell Dawson. Dawson lives in Los Angeles but returned for the funeral.
Loeffler Motor Co announces new garage with screen and guard for adjustable car and truck lights to comply with a new law. Receipts issued after adjustments must be shown when paying license tax within 30 days, 25 cents fee, free minor corrections for one year. Also reports new lenses and reflectors meeting legal standards and county inspection requirements.
Mr. and Mrs. C. T. Taff hosted guests from San Saba including Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Rankin and three children and Mrs. Mary Rankin plus Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Fox and four children. Also present were Mr. and Mrs. C. P. Brice and sons Willie G. and Roy of Rochelle and Mrs. Charles Moore with Emma Edna and Charles Jr. of Rochelle. A. T. Whetstone and wife of Noxville stayed with L. A. Warren. Whetstone is Mrs. Warren’s brother.
Phillip Joseph returns from Dallas Kansas City Milwaukee Chicago and New York after two weeks buying fall and winter merchandise. He met Mrs. Joseph in San Antonio and plans larger stocks for Kimble County.
The ten day revival meeting conducted by Rev. J. J. Ray of Mason at the Methodist Church ended last Sunday night with nine additions to the church. Sermons were considered interesting and helpful. Miss Orr led singing with enthusiasm, guiding boys and girls and delivering notable solos.
W. C. Vandyke of Belton visited L. A. Warren at the week’s start. The two men, once close childhood friends, had not seen each other in more than twenty years.
Judge Weaver Baker announces two Texas political figures will speak at the county fair next week at the High School Auditorium. Lynch Davidson of Houston, former Lieutenant Governor, speaks Thursday forenoon at eleven. Dan Moody, Texas Attorney General, follows in the evening at eight. Davidson is a gubernatorial candidate. Moody will be assisting as Christian, former district attorney, now assistant attorney general, may speak.
Miss Katherine Braley oldest daughter of Mr and Mrs J D Braley died at the family home in Junction from arsenic poisoning. Funeral at Methodist church by Rev J Virgil Davis. Born October 8 1908 in Junction she lived there all her life. Survived by parents three brothers and one sister. Local luncheon to follow at Schreiner Park for Fifth Sunday Conference attendees.

Mrs. Sarah Ann Vinning nee Stringer died Sunday night at her daughter Mrs W H Johnsons home after weeks of illness. Born in Jackson ville Mississippi December 12 1847 she wed FE G Vinning in 1865 and moved to Texas in 1873. Funeral at Junction cemetery Monday led by Rev J J Ray. Survived by four daughters and two sons and fifteen grandchildren. Also mentions C B Johnson of Amarillo and safety first filling station owner Lee J Corkill reporting several recent car sales including seven sold recently.
