New York's oldest church St. Paul's on Broadway
St. Paul's Church at Broadway and Vesey Street claims to be Manhattan's oldest standing church. Begun in 1764 and opened 1766, it survived a great fire with little damage, added a steeple years later, and houses graves including Francis Dring 1767 and Gen. Richard Montgomery who fell at Quebec. A Hudson facing orientation reflects colonial foresight. Washington's inauguration service was held here in 1789.

The page also notes the Edwards County Leader report on John Sweeten and Gladys Foley’s marriage at Rock Springs and their San Antonio honeymoon.
