Uniform freight contracts to start December first nationwide

Moros Attack Laborers At Shepherd Plantation

Five Filipino laborers and their superintendent were killed in a Moro attack at the Shepherd sugar plantation near Iligan Mindanao. Winnipeg report says Harry Martin of Martin Bros. sheep ranchers in Maple Creek district Sask died from exposure after losing his way during a recent snowstorm while tending sheep fifteen miles from town.
