Ava Gardner Museum Loses Grant Amid Trump Cuts
The Ava Gardner Museum in Smithfield lost a 24936 federal grant after the Institute for Museum and Library Services canceled the funding on April 9. Executive director Angelica Henry said about 17000 remained, funds used to digitize large Hollywood memorabilia and cover staff time and equipment. The loss won’t affect daily operations but hinders long term collection protection and digitization progress.
