Do Good Foods abandons Selma plan after bankruptcy
Do Good Foods announced a Selma plant to turn surplus groceries into chicken feed with about 100 workers and $60,000 average pay. The project never started as cash flow and investment issues sank the effort. KDC Agribusiness filed for bankruptcy and later liquidation amid a $300 million trade secret lawsuit, leaving the Eastfield site vacant. The building has been relisted, with hopes for a new company later this summer.
