Selma rejects white flag shelter plan in council vote
Selma Town Council refused JoCo Dream Center's request to shelter the homeless during severe weather. The ministry failed to prove four findings of fact including no danger to public health and safety. Mayor Byron McAllister warned the shelter could harm nearby property values and attract more encampments.
