Death Sunday in West Los Angeles, Calif., of A. W. Schlumbohm, 47, former Boy Scout field group executive for Cole District from October 1945 to December 1947. A Methodist church member, he had been serving as a Scout executive in the Los Angeles area.

Senate Approves 19 Appointments By Gov Donnelly

The Missouri Senate confirmed 19 appointments to state boards and commissions. Appointments by Gov Donnelly include Nursing Board members from St Joseph and Kansas City, a Public Service Commission member, Real Estate and Chiropody officials, and trustees for the Federal Soldiers Home at St James. The session noted planned consideration of more appointments May 30 or 31 and noted three Donnelly appointments to the State Board of Probation and Parole awaiting action.

Vaccine Program Uncertainty Delays Mass Dose Release

Uncertainty over timing of a mass vaccination program extends at least to next week as Public Health Service delays clearance of batches of a vaccine. A spokesman said further releases may wait for more study, with a Bethesda advisory panel possible today to consider dosage changes amid dwindling supplies. The National Conference of State Epidemiologists sought guidance on reducing dose sizes from one cubic centimeter to conserve inventory. Robert Mickelson of 124 Boonville was fined $10 for speeding.

Five Missouri Penitentiary escapees still at large

Five inmates from Missouri State Penitentiary No 2 Farm are unaccounted for after an auto theft near the prison. Names include Lee R Srizendine James Davis Williver Leslie Strope William K Long and Jerry Van Hoozer. A 1043 model car missing near Schneider's Lake is linked to the escape. No updates reported yet today.

Three Men Injured In Howard County Car Crash

A two car collision at 3:15 p m yesterday at the Rositas 40 and 240 intersection in Howard County left three men slightly injured and about 1500 in property damage. Henry Cleaver Ron 45 Kansas City drove left into the path of Arthur Lee Norrington 44 Prairie View Kan Herons car suffered 800 in damage and Norrington's 190. Both drivers and Frank Kessler 15 Chicago a passenger in Herons car were taken to Boone.
