Kansas county seeks ban on film I Am Curious Yellow

Johnson County attorney James W. Bouska filed an information in district court asking seizure and destruction of the film I Am Curious Yellow on obscenity grounds. Operators of the Kimo South Theater in Overland Park were ordered to appear before Judge Herbert W. Wallon to show cause why the film should not be confiscated. A New York federal jury previously ruled the movie obscene, a decision later reversed by the U.S. Court of Appeals.

Young Democrats elect Pfremmer president in Columbia

Ralph Pfremmer of Columbia was elected president of Missouri Young Democrats at the annual convention in Columbia. He succeeds A Bud Cervantes of East Prairie and also received the outstanding Young Democrat of the year award.
