Non-Cooperator at Disadvantage in Crop Program

In a June dispatch from Columbia Missouri AP reports authorities warn that a 900 million bushel ever normal wheat supply paired with a forecast of 1 billion bushels would widen surplus pressures and push Missouri farmers toward reduced acreages under the federal program. Non cooperators face crop insurance and loan ineligibility and sale quotas at a loss while cooperators join a plan to steady supply for domestic needs exports and a 200 million bushel carryover. Allotments for 1939 will be announced mid July and compliance will be checked on 1939 seed acreage. Wheat loans, insurance and storage rules under the new act are outlined with grain kept in approved facilities and interest charged.
