Huge county road project starts with added trucks
The Cole County Court approved buying three more trucks to save 938 160 on materials for a 503 056 16 government road project started today between Enon and Brazite, four miles long. The county will supply trucks and $30 000 in materials while the federal plan would provide materials if the extra trucks are purchased. Trucks cost 3 500 each and will later serve the county, speeding gravel haul. Additional funds included 2 000 for lumber and 350 for moveable steel forms, enabling further savings. Subdued Counterpart of Old NRA Seen in New Wage-Hour Program

The plan sets a 25 cent minimum wage rising to 30 and then 40 cents as fast as possible, with sectional differentials allowed after the base is reached.
