Bids Sought On 118.7 Miles Of State Roadwork

The Missouri Shire Highway Commission called bids for 1187 miles of state highway improvements across 19 counties with an estimated cost near 1.45 million dollars. Projects include 10.7 miles of supplementary roads in 18 counties and nine miles of major system and urban routes in two counties, notably a Grand Avenue bridge installation on U S Route 40 in Kansas City. Major work in Randolph and Moniteau counties involves bituminous paving, grading, and bridge work, plus a concrete box culvert.
