Special meeting to open Holts Summit insurance bids

Holts Summit Board of Aldermen set a 7 p.m. December 20 special meeting at Summit Bank to open liability and collision insurance bids for a new police vehicle and to consider bids for workers compensation insurance. The board previously approved an October bid for a 1978 Chevrolet Nova and equipment costs totaling about $3,241, with most gear arriving except the light bar. Also on the agenda are a public hearing on the 1978 city budget January 3, and an initial reading on a city election ordinance setting April 4 as election day with February 15 filing. The council discussed sewer system planning under a federal grant and a takeover schedule requested by the state Clean Water Commission, and received gifts for the city police judge from Beta Sigma Phi. The board also reappointed Dan Dicknelle to the planning and zoning commission and approved a final plat for Friendly Acres.
