Governor Park to Speak at MU Football Banquet

Cassville Missouri December 22 AP Ben Filkerton received one year in jail for selling a gun to Albert Bailey who got six months for selling it to Lawrence Coffey. Coffey was recently sentenced to 99 years in prison for shooting Probate Judge Dan Meador last June.

University of Missouri to open bids on Williams Hall project

Columbia December reports the Missouri board of curators will open bids tomorrow on the last of six campus buildings under a 1 339 000 expansion. The Ke Herman Construction Co of St. Louis won approval for a new library wing, the first building under contract, with construction to begin at once. Walter Williams Hall will honor the late founder of the journalism school. Other buildings likely start within the week.
