In Waynesville Missouri Clarence Leavy jr 21 months old was at the center of a custody dispute. His father Clarence Leavy a farmer was arrested on peace disturbance and malicious destruction of property after seizing the child from James D Morrison the boy's great grandfather. The father broke down a door at Morrison's home during the dispute and the baby was dropped to the sidewalk but sustained only superficial injuries. Morrison kept the boy since he was five weeks old. Police later returned the child and the father remained jailed in a city station awaiting further action.
