A 25 member corn and hog belt committee urged an emergency program to reduce the hog herd by slaughtering five million animals. Arrest 200 Milk War Strikers in New York
In Rochester on Aug 10, more than 200 people were arrested as hundreds of deputy sheriffs and state troopers drove off striking dairy farmers attempting to dump milk. About 75 arrests occurred in Tioga County as officers thwarted a truck dumping bid en route to Binghamton. Officials said only a small percentage of rioters were radical elements.

Prohibition Agents Await Transfer To New Bureau
Kansas City August 10 AP District officers of the prohibition enforcement bureau whose services ended yesterday reported unofficially at their former headquarters to day to await possible appointment to the new prohibition branch of the federal division of investigation. H L Duncan and George P Small expected word within a week. Nineteen agents were discharged last night but Duncan said most would be appointed to the new division. No enforcement will be undertaken meanwhile. The bureau has focused on stills leaving speakeasies alone.

New York August 10 AP detectives say Henry F. Sanborn rail executive was slain by people he knew well. A definite lead exists though not revealed. Sanborn planned to inspect a house near Great Neck Long Island for his prospective bride Miss Magnhilde Almskaar before leaving his Lower Broadway office on July 17. His body with two chest wounds was found in a shallow grave this Saturday.

Tax Liens Filed Against Missouri Pacific and Frisco
Federal tax liens totaling 4,511,110 were filed against the Missouri Pacific and the St. Louis-San Francisco Railway Companies and the St. Louis Public Service Company. The Missouri Pacific lien is 3,893,431 for 1920 and 1924 to 1930 income taxes plus penalties and interest. The Frisco lien is 452,093 for 1928 and 1930 taxes. The Public Service lien is 334,809. All are under federal court jurisdiction and filed to record the claims.

An Ellington, Missouri jury found former Marcott neighborhood minister James A. Radford was slain by unknown parties last night. His daughter Ruby testified she heard two shots and saw the killer flee from behind bushes. Radford stood in a barn door within about 20 feet as a .22 caliber bullet pierced his head.
