School fair displays highlight student effort and prizes

The district held a week long fair with top exhibits from both teachers and pupils. Miss Leidner's room won best departmental display while Melvin Rotsch and Edwena Farr earned seventh and fourth grade prizes. The athletic association netted about $65 from fair stands to offset expenses. Rain caused absences Friday morning. Season tickets for the lyceum course are selling through several students with reserved seating at Shields Drug Store. The subscriber poem parodies the steady subscriber who pays in advance.
