Harve Buergs and Misa Stella Vincent were married Sunday at 9:30 AM at the Vincent home four miles east of Jasper. Rev. N M Butler of the M E church south officiated. Safe opened after attempted robbery at post office
Postmaster Wade and Frank Hardenbrook opened the post office safe last Saturday. The drill hole let the outer door give way but nothing was taken. A small quantity of government dollars was within reach but the burglars fled. No clues to their identity have been found.

Mary Greenwood Dies at Nevada Asylum After Long Illness
Mrs. Mary Greenwood of Carrytown died last Friday at Nevada where she had lived as a private patient in the asylum for eight years. She was nearly 80, died of general physical deterioration in old age, and is survived by her son Wm. Greenwood. Funeral services were held Saturday at the Greenwood home, led by Rev. Prall, with interment in the German Baptist cemetery. Prior to her mental decline she was cared for at the county farm.

New Clothing Store Opens in Schoolcraft Building

J Yoes Dies After Lingering Illness At 62
J R Yoes, longtime farmer 3 miles east of Jasper, died last Sunday after a prolonged illness. He was 62 and a father of ten. The family burial followed in Carthage with Rev Prall officiating and D W Teeter in charge. His wife predeceased him.
