Old Folks Specials At Fair Name Two Winners
The Interstate Grocer Co offered 5 pounds of Big Horn coffee to the oldest woman and the oldest man at the fair. Winners were Mrs. Augusta Manson, 87 years, 2 months, 14 days, and J. N. U. Leela, 80 years. Leela also won 5 pounds for being the oldest resident of Jasper or Barton Counties attending. Leela is father to J. 8. Leela, who lives east of Jasper. The elder Leela held land bought from the Government 44 years ago for 74 cents an acre, north east of Carthage.

Band entertains visitors at fair with strong performance
A Good Band led by A. W. Walters of Lamar performed for three days at the fair. Musicians included men from Golden City and Lockwood. Mr. tice of Lockwood led cornet players. The band delivered fine music and worked conscientiously to entertain all visitors.
