Burks to organize civic gathering in Jasper tomorrow night with support from National District Deputy G. Umplett. Burks recently attended a Missouri celebration banquet with large turnout. Tanner council recognition earned a $120 wash prize.

Mrs Miller, aged in the upper sixties, slipped and fell at her home several miles northwest of town on Sunday evening, breaking her leg below the thigh. The accident is described as unfortunate, and neighbors were urged to call Wall phone No. 7 for fresh supplies of suits and vegetables.
