Former Jasper Girl Dies in Ordway Colorado
Kata Lorene Ries, born Shawnee Mound Missouri May 11 1878, daughter of Chas Rice, moved to Jasper County as a child, joined the Presbyterian church at 13, and was a steadfast Christian worker. She married Robert Ketchum in 1901 at age 23 in Jasper County then lived with her parents in Ordway, Colorado, where she died last Wednesday.
