Woman Injured by Hog Near Jasper Farm
Mrs. J. Lewis, of the Charles Phelps farm nine miles southeast of Jasper, was badly bitten and injured by a brood sow last Thursday. She sustained hip wounds needing stitches and two broken ribs after the sow knocked her down as a pig squealed. Neighbors aided her to the house, Dr. Knott treated the wounds, and recovery is expected without permanent injury.
