Webb Bros Mercantile Co plans incorporation with capital of 20000 to expand Jasper city store. Omer Webb presides with a slate of directors. The present building will be enlarged with a second floor and rear extension to create a large department store offering groceries, hardware, clothing, and more. Building and paving contracts already let. new departments to open by April first. Also notes on local visitors and an entertainment at the opera house featuring Mrs Spragues Waggoner.
Beal a respected farmer northwest of town was taken to Nevada for treatment with Dr Selooler after two weeks of illness. John Wallar and his daughter-in-law Marceline visit relatives in this Jasper area, with Wallar noted as a veteran merchant of the period.
