Bounty Placed On Wolf Scalp by Jasper County Court

Golden City Man Hurt in Jasper Accident
T. W. Merlin, a Golden City music dealer, drove to Jasper by livery rig to attend business. At the depot he left a typewriter and, after reentering the buggy, the horse bolted and overturned it, throwing Merlin headfirst and causing a concussion. He was taken to Dr. Knott's office and was briefly conscious but could not recall details. The horse was unharmed, the buggy wrecked.

Wheat Harvest Progress Amid Favorable Weather
The wheat harvest grows with good weather through the week and teams expect cutting by Saturday night if conditions hold. Most fields were nearly ready a week ago due to frequent rains, with only the high spots cut last week and some machines active Sunday. Estimates vary, but average yields may not be far below last year, as pockets of very poor and excellent wheat appear.

Aged Woman Elizabeth Nessler Passes Away
Elizabeth Nessler aged 75 years 5 months and 2says died early Monday at the home of I F Johnson in the Aion neighborhood from illness and old age. Mrs J F Johnson a daughter of the deceased attended the services. Born in Germany she lived in the United States many years. Funeral held Tuesday at 9 in the Johnson home conducted by Rev C L Greene of the Jasper and Aion Baptist Churches. Burial followed at Carterville Cemetery No 1.
