A Golden City Tribune note says funds were raised weeks ago to buy an artificial limb for Rev. J. M. J. Hoyle. Hoyle states donations are deposited in the bank and expected to fund the limb within three weeks. He has traveled to Jasper selling his looks and preaching, described as a pleasant, knowledgeable figure with gout.

The four binder engines sold, paired with binders, enable wheat cutting in wet fields, aiding farmers amid recent rains and grain ripening.

Big Dinner at Follmer's and Mrs Mollmer’s Anniversary
The Ladies Aid Society of the Methodist Episcopal Church held an all day meeting at F. F. Follmer and family home on West Side Dairy Farm. About 50 people shared a noon dinner with fried chicken and varied foods. Teo W. Sk. Chatten praised the couple on their nineteenth wedding anniversary before touring the dairy barn and equipment.

Samuel Glase Dies in Utah After Illness
Dr. Knott, clerk of the W O W lodge in Jasper, received a telegram from Murray Utah announcing the death of Samuel Glase. He died of heart trouble after a short illness. Glase, about 70, lived in Jasper for many years and served as section foreman since the railroad was built. He was a member of the lodge.

Fixing Threshing Prices At Carthage Meeting
Threshermen from Carthage and nearby counties met at the courthouse Saturday afternoon with 79 participants. Prices for threshing wheat ranged from about 6 to 7 cents per bushel, depending on method, with concerns over lower rates affecting daily earnings. Ralph Lost His Wheel In Lakeside Adventure
Ralph borrowed Freddie Cline’s wheel with Ray Wardlow and went to Lakeside. They left wheels at the street car power house. Ralph’s wheel disappeared. Ray chased to Webb City and was detained by police. The thief was caught in Joplin and wheels returned. nightfall found the boys back in Jasper exhausted.
