Mt Moriah Church dedication and events planned

The Mt Moriah Church seven miles south of the city, rebuilt after a fire, will be dedicated next Sunday with services led by Elder EOP Ateneo and Rev. Guy Moore. The day includes Communion, a dinner, and an evening sermon, with a program featuring Epworth League talks and regional clergy.

Sunday School Convention at Prenton Township

The Prenton township Sunday School convention met at the Methodist church in this city last Sunday. Rain reduced attendance but the event was enjoyed by those present. Mr Charles Sellars of Anrth ae spoke 47 minutes on Normal Hille Biady, with praise for Sunday School workers. The planned basket dinner was postponed. The afternoon session featured devotional worship by Marian Van Dosen and addressing on The Sunday School and the Home led by Rev Perngucon in place of C J Smith. Nellie Vout came from Carl Junetion to speak on Primary work. Train delays affected some attendees. Officers elected: President Marion Van Dosen, Vice President Miss Anis Deardoril, secretary and treasurer unnamed.

Uncle Tom's Cabin show in Toeklay morning mud event

A community performance titled Uncle Tom's Cabin was staged on a sodal car at Whitesel and Lcots blacksmith shop. A 10 piece band marched to the venue and drew a large crowd despite rain. An onstage mishap caused tickets to slip and fans to tumble as mud flew viewed by attendees.

Route No 5 Established Along Jasper to Carthage

A new Route No 5 is established extending southeast from Jasper to Carthage by way of several town roads. Special Agent J P Grote will rally Tuesday with Chas Schlinirt driving the line to shorten existing routes. The route spans roughly 24 miles, reducing travel length between Jasper and Corttiny, with Route No 2 from Jasper to be shortened as well. Applicants for drivers for Jaspers via Alba's new route will be examined next Monday.
