Odd Fellows Meeting and Odd Fellows Fall Plans
A lively Monday night gathering of the Odd Fellows, with about six members present, saw three Avilla candidates receive the second degree. The lodge recently secured a ten year lease on the opera house floor at Linemelis corner as work proceeds to modernize the stage and partitions. Jasper Lodge plans a Monday night event with five first degree candidates. An owl was observed hunting field mice, while a farmer is advised to spare a chicken for the services rendered. Also notes on paper backing for framed pictures and the shrinking effect of drying paper.
