Mrs Griffin fell down the stairway at her South Main Street home early Friday morning suffering a dislocated right shoulder and fractures at the shoulder top with severe bruising. She is recovering nicely, and friends are glad of her improvement.
Lieut Laurence Gray son of Judge and Mrs Howard Gray of Carthage died at his home after a three week illness likely from stomach trouble tied to canned meat diet while serving in 1918. He helped run Gray & Gray, studied at Columbia, served in France with the Sixth Regiment of Marines, and was wounded at Belleau Wood and Chateau Thierry.
