Mrs A M Still at East St Louis reports the death of her brother J E Anderson from typhoid fever in Wallawa Walls Washington. Anderson had lived near Mt Carmel in Tartin county. The family endured multiple losses as four children died from the disease including Czurtie in October and a younger son on December 18 with another recovering. Mrs Still, the eldest, is now the sole surviving member of her father’s family after typhoid claimed four of the siblings across Virginia and Washington.
