The Jasper Mills, once a leading smarler mill with a 75 barrel daily capacity, was built in 1891 by Baird and Sears. H L Tallman later bought Sears’ share, forming Baird & Tallman, then Baird owned it solo until his death. Mir Tallman managed briefly again, followed by H Veatch who took over years ago.
