M E Church Notes Reflect Strong Sunday School Year
The church notes a record year for the Sunday School with an average attendance around 110, peak 137, and 9 members attending every Sunday. Yearly collection totaled 178.26 dollars. Elections at the parsonage December 28 named Mackey as superintendent and a slate including Wells Peterson Linn Mionie Sanford Crow Bayou Booth. Death of Jeanie Rebecca Hoop in Liberal obituary
Jeanie Rebecca Watson Hoop born December 20 1858 in Dade County died January 2 1907 after a cancer battle. She married Charles E Hoop March 11 1837 and leaves husband three sons Loboié P. Charles F. Karl W. and parents Mr. and Mrs. Sam P. Watson plus brother W H Watson. She was baptized December 12 and died in faith after a long illness. Funeral June 3 at McCabe Chapel with burial beside sister in Mulberry cemetery. Rev Sapp of Liberal led services.
