Mrs Sidenstricker Dies After Shooting Incident
Mrs Charles Bidenstricker died at St John hospital in Joplin at 9 06 Monday night after a Friday January 10 shooting by her husband. The arraignment for first degree murder is planned for her husband Sidenstricker. The bullet damaged the spinal area and seven fragments remained, resisting treatment. She had a strong constitution but the operation to remove the bullet failed and she was moved to St John’s hospital.

Toy Cannon Death From Backyard Accident
Three year old Beulah Butler of 1114 Mineral Street died from lockjaw and blood poisoning after a gas pipe toy exploded in her parents yard. The injury occurred when two boys loaded and discharged the pipe, a wooden plug struck her foot, leading to infection. Also noted is the death of 82 year old Robert Wardlow in Joplin on January 18 and burial details in a cemetery south of town.
