Distinguished pianist Harold Bauer will give a recital in the Crystal Ballroom of the Hotel Jamestown on Tuesday evening February 18 under the Mozart Club. Born in England he started as a violinist then switched to piano and has a long celebrated career, making his American debut with the Boston Symphony Orchestra in 1900. The Jamestown concert marks Bauer’s 28th season in America.

Jail delivery attempt fails at Mayville jail
Acting on a tip of a prisoner escape plot, guards confronted Kenneth Sullivan as he tried to grab jail keys in the Mayville County Jail.
