West Ellicott Fire District Formed For Takewood Road Area
The Ellicott Town Board approved establishing the West Ellicott Fire District in Falconer. It will cover Takewood Road from Howard Avenue to the Lakewood line, High Street in Fairmount Park, and up to Celoron village, with 95 percent resident support. A new Celoron Fire Department truck will be bought, the existing pumper moved to Rabbit Hill station, alarm boxes installed on Lakewood Road, and wells or cisterns dug to supply water for firefighting.
