Postal Receipts Rise in Grandfalls for First Quarter
Grandfalls postoffice department reports a rising trend in the first quarter of the new fiscal year. Postmaster Mary Cummins notes stamp sales up by 120.98 dollars from 1938 and money orders up by 800.27 dollars, with total stamp receipts at 719.05 versus 598.07 a year ago. Money order receipts show 15,115.13 in 1939 against 14,314.86 in 1938.

Road bonds totaling 97000 from Grandfalls Royalty district were sold to the State Board of Education. An automotive safety class at a local school led by Darold F. Wilsop completed surveys on traffic violations and stopping distances.
