Assassin bug bites Mrs Bennett sparks scientific interest
Mrs James Bennett was bitten by a long black bug with a peculiar nose. The bite left her ill and prompted Dr Roberts at Community Hospital to send a blood specimen to the State laboratory. Chemists requested samples and began studying the bug, noted for its unique poison in the bite.

Three Small Urban Fires Do Little Damage This Week
Brooks Brininstool reports three fires caused mainly by carelessness. A rubbish barrel flame damaged M. L. Moore’s house briefly on Friday. wind spread the papers and was extinguished quickly. Saturday’s blaze at Joe Schauer’s home caused minor damage and was promptly fought by firefighters. A trash pile under a pool hall por ch caught fire from a lit cigarette and was quickly extinguished with little damage.
