Odd Fellows Initiate Lodge In Fourteen Lodges Visit
The Odd Fellows held a Saturday gathering at the school to organize a new chapter with ten initiates and fifteen transfers. Grand Master T H Glover of Clovis and Dr Kibbe of Elida attended to institute the lodge as 100 visitors from fourteen lodges joined the session. A dinner at the Methodist Church followed before returning to finish the day’s program. Mr and Mrs Jeff Bruton announced the birth of an eight pound daughter born on Thanksgiving day November 30.

Store Robbed Of $20 While Hughes Is Gone
Hunter Hughes' Jal Hardware was robbed of $20 in cash while Hughes briefly left the store. He returned to find a tampered safe after a 30 minute absence at the bowling alley. Entry was gained by cutting the screen and lifting the hook. several persons are under suspicion.
