Clarence E. Blain returned to Jackson after enlisting in March 1918 and serving nine months on the Pacific coast aboard the C. S. Ship Antigone before discharge on September 26. He wed Miss Constance Young on October 4 in Berkeley, California. The couple plan to live in Jackson for now.

Chapline of Elk and Ruth Dennis of Buffalo Wyoming wed in Ashton Idaho on September 28. Joe Chapline, widely known in Jacksons Hole, has lived on his Elk homestead for years and recently returned to teach at Buffalo school after serving in the late war.

Al Van Leer Dam of Dry Hollow rode the outgoing stage yesterday to Kemmerer for bio naturalization papers, with Hilmer Hark and George Kelly as witnesses.

Bear caught in No 3 Victor trap on Hills ranch

Frank Woods trapped a yearling black bear last week on his ranch one mile from Jackson in No 3 Victor trap. The Hills area hosts several hunting and camping parties including Ray Reed Bruce Porter Fred Vincent Louis Vander Mark and a Rhode Island party. Victor Idaho Oct 7 Through a timetable change on the Oregon Short Line direct train service to Salt Lake City is provided for Victor on the Yellowstone branch. Train 33 now runs through to Victor from Salt Lake arriving 5 56 pm and leaves for Salt Lake at 7 0 0 pm arriving in Victor 2 40 pm. Train 34 from Victor to Salt Lake departs 4 45 pm arriving in Salt Lake at 7 26 am. This service update affects connection times and through scheduling. Lunbeck Home Burned Down in Tuesday Fire

The home of Mr and Mrs Lunbeck and its contents were destroyed by a daytime fire with only a stove and corner dresser spared. Mrs Lunbeck saved her baby and neighbors aided as flames spread to ceilings and outbuildings. Firefighters noted lack of water. loss estimated in thousands.
