Special Land Appraiser Named for Valley Farm Loan Associations

About a year ago three Farm Loan Associations formed in the valley at Elk Kelly and Jackson. Red tape delayed action and Omaha bankers were pressed without result. Baxter and others urged a solution until W nh Seebohm of Kelly was appointed as special appraiser by the valley’s board of directors. Ex Governor Carey recommended him. acceptance may hinge on approval from state game officials.

Teachers Examination to be Held at Four Towns

The next Teachers' Examination will be conducted at Kemmerer Piney Afton and Jackson on December 6 with papers supplied by Poachers will provide pens and ink Marganer F Nicholson Superintendent Lincoln County. Andrew Mattson Sells Holdings in Jackson’s Hole

James Hoyle of Ayeo Taio purchased the entire holdings of Andrew Mattson, an Une resident of Jackson’s Hole. Hoyle secured 200 acres and 1000 head of cattle with horses and machinery, and will take charge the following day. Mattson, long in stock, built trust and will retire due to ill health. Sale conducted through Richard Winger.

Organize for Red Cross Work Meeting in Wilson

The Red Cross ladies held a meeting at the church in Wilson on Monday evening with a large crowd. Officers were elected: Mrs Gee Goodrick president, Mrs Biljah Ward treasurer, and Mrs Robert Lundy secretary. A first meeting is set for 2 PM, November 17, with an invitation extended to all.

Economics Association Meets at Home Economics Extension

The Economics Association and Extension Home Economics held a meeting Friday November 8 at the homes of Mesdames Susanna and Bile Imesor. Eighteen ladies attended, sixteen joined. The next meeting is set for December 7 at Mrs. Pearl G. Davis’s home. New members and visitors welcome. Andy Matson’s brother Niles Matison visited from Salt Lake City midweek and may stay to help with cattle transfers. Miss Pera Nowlin left Wednesday for Nostan Mass to attend a three year mule school, funded by her brothers, Bryant Percy and Bruce in Charlotte. Eli Curtis of Vietor looked to purchase bulls in the valley.
