Two Destructive Fires Hit Aspen Valley Last Week

Two large fires plagued Aspen Valley last week. A one room cabin deed to Kev and Mra Z H Hanter Gangit burned to the ground with contents lost including furniture and equipment. Neighbors fought the blaze but could not save the structure. A separate Sunday blaze started by Mr Albert Nelson’s children destroyed a straw stack, an adjoining hay stack, the barn, and sheds, with machinery and livestock saved only by quick action.

Ladies' Bible boog shows new styles at exhibition

The Jackson Mercantile Co advertises dress cloth samples and new styles in men is wear. The display promotes cloths and party wear with prices. Pure Food Club Hosts Social at Mrs Lloyds Home

Mrs T W Lloyd entertained Pure Food Club members last Friday at her east town home. The ladies enjoyed social time, needlework, articles from their club magazine, and light refreshments served by Mrs Lord and her daughters. Member Mes McKinstry spoke on the Pure Food organization prior to the gathering. The next meeting is scheduled with Mere Mehard Winger on Friday afternoon November 12.
