A community picnic will be held next Saturday May 10 at Flat Creek south of Jackson. All residents are invited especially Sunday School children and parents. Each family should bring a basket with a faltering meal. a fry will aid the dinner. Bring fishing tackle and help Catch the Osh. Dinner at one o clock. Start from the schoolhouse at 10 30 sharp.
Locals note beef for sale in summer quantities. Kynon, hotel owner Charles Delamey, suffered fear and trouble, found unconscious in yard, improving after hospitalization. Steele traveled from Grovant. Dr and Mrs Huff visited Mra Dill at Idaho Palm. Bewin from Kedmer attended county commissioners meeting. Next week marks end of school.
A baggage and freight car of the Ashton-Vietor branch of the L. I. was destroyed by fire in the Ashton yards on Monday night. An oil stove is believed to have started the blaze. The flames were discovered too late to save the car, while the rest of the cars were halted.
Al Austin came down from the J P ranch Tuesday and expects no start on the hill road soon. Ray Storer now runs the tract near Rexburg headquarters moved from Sugar City. Dr T Bayliff of Rexburg guarantees his services and will visit Jackson again. Mr and Mrs Wm Laforty visited their daughter Mrs Lloyd Ward in Jackson. Mrs Jack Fee visited from the upper country last week and returned Monday. Born to Mr and Mrs Hyrum Delaney a daughter on May 9.
Guide J P Nelson of Grovant Wro is to town this week as a witness in the naturalization petition of Dietz and Joe Rattendorf. Nelson has lived in Jackson's Lane for twelve years and once ran the first Jackson hotel before selling it five years ago to J P Cunningham. He then took over the Moore Horn ranch thirty five miles south of the Yellowstone National Park, where he and his two sons operate a 680 acre property. The family works as guides for hunting parties in the area and can accommodate any party needing their services.
Harrie Robison and Pat were in Jackson Sunday. Fens Saunders went to town Monday. Ivan Kelly aids Roy McBride with crop work. Roy McBride returned from aiding W P Redmond move cattle to Crystal creek range. They lacked saddle horses to corral cattle. Webster LaPlant visited town Saturday. Mrs J J Saunders plans to move back to the Panel with Rachel and Roy for schooling. patching in the Sauner cabin to end. Roy and Mom Roy McBride drove to Jackson Wednesday. Walter Scott finished plowing near Jackson for Dr Hutt and returned home.

An enthusiastic meeting at the Clot Howse discussed incorporating the town. A committee reported earlier letters from Pinedale Dubois Hand Cokeriile and others urged action. A five member committee led by Hyrum Delotley Delaney J B Simpson and J T Jones was agreed to proceed with the incorporation plan and a census will follow.
The Pure Food Club of Jackson held a May meeting at Mrs L A’s residence on Friday. New president Mrs Q RR VanVieck led a brief session with entertainment and a city-quiz contest. A luncheon followed before adjournment, with plans to meet May 22 at Meh Winger’s home.
Twenty years experience in dressmaking advertised by Mrs E A McDonald from Salt Lake School of Dressmaking. Also sale listing saddle horses saddles tents outfits and other items. For sale a few thoroughbred white Plymouth Rock chickens and grain goods offered. Hopson listed as contact.
In a May match at the Texas arena Yokel faced Mike Brown in a light weight title contest. Brown dominated the first fall in under two minutes, driving Yokel to a concussion that forced the forfeit of the second fall, leaving Brown favored to win the championship in the near future.
A week’s Teton Valley News item notes an ordinance from the Village of Victor Idaho granting the Jackson Vale ley Telephone Company the right to construct operate and maintain along streets and alleys for telephone purposes including poles wires conductors cross-arms insulators and other appurtenances in Victor Idaho with authority to use public thoroughfares and related infrastructure.

Dicamore defeated Kelly in a handicap bout with Kelly failing to register a fall. Tieamoore showed form and appeared in good shape for the match. Kelly had limited training this year and could not aid his partner as hoped. The Hoagland versus Dover preliminary was praised as one of the best in a long time, with plans to try for a rematch on a future date.

Mr Mabin was in town on business Friday. Questions for the eighth grade examinations arrived Tuesday night at the mall, so exams began for the night graders on Wednesday.
