Odd Fellows Card Party Brightens Winter Evenings

Thedd Fellows hosted the third weekly card party of winter drawing about a crowd to the W.O. W. Hat. Eighteen tables of High Five played with Mrs. E. Pails and Mr. Win. Stevenson receiving top honors. A luncheon of ham sandwiches coffee and cake followed and dancing caped the evening.

M. H. Kneedy, back from Butte, reports securing a twenty-barrel mill from Marvel Milling Co. to ship soon after erecting buildings for installation. The unit supports adding up to twenty barrels, with expansion possible, and aims to grow dairy product supply by producing flour and feed locally.

Successful Surprise Party Near Lester Leek Sparks Campfire Fun

A party of about fifty youths organized a surprise gathering for Lester Leek on Wednesday evening. Six sleigh loads carried guests including Mrs. Preston, Mrs. Kautaen, Mr. and Mrs. Fuller, and Mrs. Leek. The event featured cards, music, dancing, a Kangaroo Court, and an excellent supper. The celebration lasted until early morning.

Elk Bull Stubborn Duel At N Leek Ranch

A bull elk attacked haystacks at the 8 N Leek ranch on Wednesday. Mr Bile perched atop a stacked haypile, rope thwarted efforts to pull him down, forcing officials to open another stack. Dr Huff and Tom Lee also encountered a roadbound elk, with Lee finally dragging the animal into deep snow using a rope.
