Bridge Work Starts Soon On Stoke River Project

The Courier notes late receipt of this week issue but reports that a bridge over the Stoke River faces no frontier delay. County commissioners receive credit for enabling construction by securing funding from the Reclamation people at no county cost. The full story runs next week.

Walter Hosman returned from Snake River with 19 fine bent hides from this spring trapping. Nate Davie visited from the ranger station near Hoback, staying most of last week in Jackson. Ray Ely came from Geake River ranch with his father following home. L. Starrett, J. Te Curtis and family in town on weekend business. Mr and Mrs Geo Kelly in town Sunday, Roorsma accompanying them Monday. Mrs Hert Clark and Mrs J Wort attended Pure Food Club in Jackson Friday. Mrs Roy Meliride came from the ranch Thursday. Dr Scarbrough advertised as a eye specialist visiting Friday and Saturday June. Mrs J L Mynon returned Friday from Morgan Utah for her mother's funeral. Mr and Mrs George Goo in town Thursday.

Pure Food Club Holds June Meeting at Mrs Woods Home

The Pure Food Club met last Friday afternoon with Mrs W Delaney present despite rain. One visitor, Mrs I W Miller, attended. Entertainment was absent for this meeting. next gathering is planned at Mex F Woods home on Friday June 19. Ladies sewed, chatted, and enjoyed a two course luncheon hosted by the hostess.

Last week in Flat Creek residents noted road work with new bridges and mud hole fills, and several visits and movements among locals. Miss Mary McKean stayed with Mrs. George Goe, with many locals traveling to town and back, while Dr Scarborough announced a return visit to nearby towns.

Bucking Steer Comedy and July Celebrations at Jackson Club

A two day event in Jackson features horse races including boys pony and cowboy races, bucking contests, and man versus steer battles. July 3 and 4 offer dances, fireworks, music, and a detailed program with relays and novelty races at the race track and Jackson Club House.
