The state board of Livestock commissioners notes renewal brands not properly recertified since 1909 when the state assumed control. Law required brands to be certified by county clerks and forwarded to the state board for free recording.
Charles J Wort has leased his Jackson livery and feed barn to Joe and Jim Davenport who will take charge immediately. Wort has run the business for two years and cites the need to focus on ranch work elsewhere. The Davenport brothers are established in Gros Ventre and are expected to run a first class operation.
The column notes Apler and Lloyd bargains in box stores and elk sightings near Jackson. Pure Food Club meets Friday December 3 at Mrs J B Jones home. Mr Miller leaves for Cheyenne with wife to testify in a hold up case. They plan travel to Cuba and Panama. Thanksgiving Day blizzard disrupts, yet a large dance attendance persists. Local residents Lawrence Carlson, Wm Seebohm, Mrs Walter Scott, Mrs John Wilson and families are mentioned with routine town social updates.

Charles F. Bellin known as Hull Moone Helting, living at Bondar nt, was acquitted in Lander district court of murdering Richard Grant at Pinedale on July 12. The trial began Monday, the jury deliberated about two hours, and returned a not guilty verdict two hours after midnight.
For sale fresh pork whole or half by the pound and June pigs at 46.00 each. Gorge W. Kelly Jackson and partners John B. Erwin and L A Kaffedin come in from ranches near Kelly Wednesday morning. Erwin reports cattle in better condition recently. He lost eight head of calves sometime back. Fred Roth at Reed Motel suffers lagrippe. He was seriously ill Tuesday night. A Wilson returned Tuesday from Indiana after his father’s death. He will resume school next month. Ht. Smith from Aspen Ridge visited Wednesday for a load of supplies.
Thanksgiving updates from Aspen Ridge residents include Mr. Frank Price’s family memory by friends, T. J. Baxter's bout with grippe, visits by Professor Moody and others, Hart Wright’s neck pain, and plans to winter at the Mit Young ranch. Community efforts include barn rebuilding by Albert Nelson and local labor donations, with turnout at benefit dances and hopes for Jackson’s Hole to remain a working community.
An incident occurred near Houston Teton Paw when Lew Wardie was kicked in the back by a frightened horse. Wardie and Lee were en route to Jackson with freight. the boy was briefly unconscious after the kick and was taken to Victor for treatment. His condition improved by the next day.

Renewals must state which part of the animal the brand is used, provide owner name and address, and forward to the secretary of the State Board of Live Stock Commissioners in Cheyenne. All bills of sale for brands must be recorded in the proper ledger. if a brand was purchased since 1900 and the traveler was not made, act now to correct.
