Returns From Long Trip Giltner Plans Busy Homecoming

W Giltner returned from a two to three month visit to Creighton Missouri and California. He says the trip was fine and plans to work off gained pounds now that he is home. Frank G Smith of Dubois Wyoming appointed Assistant Game Warden for this section to succeed WH Gearholm. O L Lanbeets returns to Jackson after cooking for a force moving butlers over the hill. Robert B Clark Jr bought the Charlie Cook ranch known as the Dick Ballay piece. Four butlers at Bucket Springs and two at the quaking-asp fat will stay until roads dry. Capt Hugh McDermott traveled from the upper country for a short stay. Frank Hobinson of Philipsburg Montana filed on the homestead at Antelope Flats relinquished by Barr Bathgate who went to work in a sugar factory at Buger City Idaho.

Homesteaders Benefit by Decision of Secretary

A recent decision by the Secretary of the Interior allows homestead applicants on national forests to credit time under special use permits toward final proof for residence and cultivation. The ruling reinstates an interpretation earlier reversed in 1910 and aims to aid bona fide settlers by offsetting delays in opening lands to entry.

Reverend Hawley to Leave Jackson for Manitou Colorado

Reverend Seth C. Hawley will depart Jackson for Manitou Colorado to lead St Andrew's Church. He has served two years at St John's Jackson and Trinity Gravent in addition to local Christian work. Mrs Hawley will accompany him and a replacement will conduct services until arrival.

Easter Party At St Johns Draws Thirty Children

Harrie Robben and wife attended events in Jackson Friday as part of a community Easter celebration at St. John's. About thirty children enjoyed games and refreshments including sandwiches, lemonade, cake, and favors of candies and Easter eggs. Paper napkins and table decorations added seasonal charm sent by a friend to the children.

Harry Nethercott Victim of Horrible Accident

Harry Nethercott, a brakeman for the Bamberger railroad, died after an electric car struck him near the Union Pacific transfer station between 6 and 6:30 PM. He slipped and was dragged under wheels, with severe injuries including crushed left side and multiple fractures. Survived by a wife, five children, and parents. funeral arrangements pending.

Memorial Placed For Paul Simpson at St John’s Church

A memorial in honor of Paul Simpson was placed at St John’s Church by his family. The handsome tablet, designed and crafted by Mr Treson, was made by local hands from native wood, highlighting fine workmanship and material. It honors his mother and sisters Mrs George Wilson and Mrs Earnest Hoan with a tasteful, solemn tribute.

Land Listings In Teton Forest On Moran Applicants

An area of 100 acres in the Teton National Forest is listed on the application of Kimner Arthur of Moran Wyoming. The land near Jackson has been used for racing purposes. An area of 167.50 acres in the Teton National Forest is listed on the application of Wm Carter of Moran Wyoming. The land is three miles from Jackson and has been used for grazing.
