Large party tours Eatonton creamery and cattle farms
A 30 plus citizen party from Butts county visited Putnam county dairy sites in Eatonton. They toured Col Hunt’s model dairy, observed new Ezell-Griffin creamery operations paying 30 cents per pound for sour cream, and noted weekly payroll around 1000 dollars. The trip highlighted local crops, library gifts, and Hunt’s Jersey cattle with a Jackson library tie-in.
