Olin King Reappointed Pastor in Jackson For Year
Jackson learns Rev. Olin King will serve as pastor of the Methodist church for another year following North Georgia Conference assignments. The conference in Rome announced other moves including Dr. Fletcher Walton to St Johns Augusta and Rev. R. C. Cleckler to Atlanta. Dr. W. L. Pierce to Griffin district and Pendley to Flovilla. Next annual conference scheduled for Griffin in November 1916.

Doctors Find Pellagra Cure
Announcement from the Treasury Department reports that the Public Health Service has discovered both the cause and cure of pellagra, with research conducted at the Mississippi State Penitentiary Farm near Jackson. The final experiments tested a restricted carbohydrate diet on eleven convicts, six developed pellagra symptoms, and authorities pledged proper care and potential pardons for volunteers.
