Soil Conservation Service agronomists estimate about 14 000 acres of kudzu will be planted in Georgia in winter across soil conservation districts and erosion control areas. Jule G. Liddell notes seedlings yield better stands than crowns or cuttings and cites 600 acres already in the Lumpkin CCC area with two thirds in permanent strips.
