H J Miller manager of the Jackson Coca Cola Bottling Co. suffered surface burns when a gasoline line clog caused a truck fire near Woodstown. He crawled out from under the truck and rolled in sand to extinguish flames. He received medical care and is expected to be out for several days.

Government set to collect luxury taxes nationwide

William McClure Returns from Overseas Duty
William McClure is welcomed home after more than two years in the army with nearly two years in France. He served as post quartermaster sergeant at the Samar artillery school and went overseas with the 17th engineers as an early Butts county recruit after war began in 1917. He arrived Saturday after receiving his discharge last week.
