Uncle Jack Nutt Dies at County Farm After Illness
Uncle Jack Nutt, a well known Black resident of Jackson, died Sunday night at the County Farm where he had lived for some time. He was about seventy and had been feeble for months. Formerly he ran the press for the Jackson Argus, serving the Nutt family and longtime county residents. Funeral held Sunday with interment at the Poor Farm.

Christmas Mail Heaviest Ever Known at Jackson
The Jackson post office handled the heaviest Christmas mail on record with new money order highs. Incoming and outgoing mail were about equal as twenty three sacks were dispatched on Thursday and Friday night before Christmas. Parcel post mail was especially heavy.

Hog Cholera Reported Here Urges Control Measures
County Agent Rice investigated diseased hogs owned by Mr. John Greer finding cholera with pneumonia. He cited hogs roaming freely, carcasses being discarded in woods and ditches spreading the disease via dogs and streams.
