Butts superior court adjourned its August term after a busy week with forty plus indictments. Judge Searcy announced an adjourned term the week of September 18 to clear the docket. Several criminal cases were decided including murder acquittal for R C Thomas and a death sentence for Joe Persons for rape.

The estate of Dr. Joseph Boswell who died in Wichita Falls Texas is appraised between 100 000 and 1 000 000 dollars and will be divided among three children and their numerous descendants including Eliza Garterll of Atlanta and Levi Boswell with lines extending to multiple Maddox Ball Mabry and Zackery heirs across Georgia and Texas. Lawyers say a fortune awaits when all heirs can be traced.
